The Texas Council of Professors of Educational Administration is an organization dedicated to promote the improvement and advancement of educational leadership.

TCPEA is an affiliate of the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership (formerly the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration), which is committed to the practice and study of educational administration. Established in 1947 (as NCPEA), ICPEL continues its commitment to serve the interests and needs of professors of educational administration and practicing school leaders.
TCPEA’s history dates back to 1974, when the professors of educational administration in Texas agreed to establish a formal organization in the state to foster the achievement of objectives of the professorate, and to foster better communication among those who were preparing school administrators for the public schools within the state.
Networking & Professional Learning
TCPEA meets twice annually, in conjunction with the TASA/TASB Convention and the TASA Midwinter Conference. These meetings provide important networking opportunities so vital to the success of our profession.
TCPEA’s School Leadership Review is a nationally refereed journal designed to offer a publishing opportunity to professors of educational leadership across the country.
